Report: Ohio State OL Wyatt Davis declines NFL draft invitation

Former Ohio State offensive lineman Wyatt Davis is expected to be picked early on in the 2021 NFL draft, but he won’t be in Cleveland to shake the commissioner’s hand.
According to a report from Ian Rapoport, Davis declined an invitation so that he can watch the event with his family. Rapoport also notes that Davis will be participating in the broadcast virtually.

The fact that he was invited is a good sign for his draft stock. Typically, only elite draft prospects are invited to attend the draft in person.
Davis’ draft stock is a bit uncertain at the moment. His range seems to be varying between the late first round and the middle of the second round.
He is coming off a tremendous season at Ohio State. Davis was named a unanimous All-American for his efforts in leading the Buckeyes all the way to the National Championship. He was also an All-American in 2019.
The NFL draft is April 29-May 1.
