The status of Saturday’s Ohio State-Michigan game is still up in the air. If it does happen, it will certainly look different than previous iterations of this historic rivalry.
According to Eleven Warriors, Buckeye spokespeople confirmed on Sunday that families of players will be allowed to attend The Game scheduled for Saturday. It’s the first time they will be allowed in the Horseshoe since Ohio State’s second home game of the season against Rutgers.
Players for both Ohio State and Michigan will be able to have their families attend, provided The Game actually takes place on Saturday in the Shoe. https://t.co/yeJGUN4Ykq

During home games against Nebraska and the Scarlet Knights, each Ohio State player was allowed to have four family members in attendance. They were spread out and distanced inside the stadium.
Once COVID-19 cases began to rise in the area, the school only allowed essential staff inside the Horseshoe.
The four family member rule will continue as they let these guests back in. However, the school plans to further distance the families in order to help them stay safe. Michigan players will also be allowed to have family members, but coaches’ families are not allowed at this point.
Besides being a rivalry game, it’s also senior day in Columbus. Unlike previous years, family members will not be allowed to walk out with the seniors during the ceremony. They will be celebrating from the stands.
Again, this all comes as the status of the game is up in the air due to COVID-19 protocol. This decision could apply, however, if Ohio State does not end up playing Michigan but is still allowed schedule another Big Ten opponent.
