Fall practices may be underway, but it is being reported that one Penn State player entered his name into the transfer portal over the weekend.
According to Sean Fitz with 247 Sports, Nittany Lions safety John Petrishen entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Saturday. Fitz indicated Petrishen was vying for a reserve spot this year after appearing in 13 games last season as a special teams player.
Petrishen is a fifth-year player, and it is currently unclear what is next. His entry into the transfer portal has not been confirmed.
Regardless of Petrishen’s next move, it does not appear to have any immediate impact at the top of Penn State’s depth chart.
