A Penn State defender will reportedly miss the 2022 college football season. Sophomore defender Zuriah Fisher will be out for the season, according to a report by Sean Fitz of Lions247. The report does not detail the injury, only stating it happened during spring practice.
This is Fisher’s third season with the Nittany Lions. A 4-star recruit out out Aliquippa (Pennsylvania), Fisher signed with James Franklin’s program in 2020.
Fisher redshirted his first season on campus, appearing in one game during Penn State’s 2020 campaign. In 2021, he saw action in 8 games.
Fisher recorded tackles in the 2021 regular season against Indiana and Maryland. In the Outback Bowl against Arkansas, he had 2 tackles, bringing his 2021 total to 4.
Fisher earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2021.
Brutal. Zuriah Fisher seemed primed for a big step forward at defensive end following a 2021 transition from linebacker. https://t.co/2dBMIok0Nu
