Report: Purdue junior TE has left football program

This is not good news for a Wednesday.
Purdue tight end Darius Pittman recorded just one catch last season. This year, he may not catch any for the Boilermakers.
According to Tom Dienhart of Gold and Black, Pittman has left the Purdue football program. The details as to why have not been disclosed.

In Week 1 against Nevada, Pittman didn’t have any catches or touches on offense. The only time he touched the ball was on a kickoff, which he returned 11 yards. Purdue lost, 34-31.

Last season, Pittman also had one kickoff opportunity. Well, sort of, as he caught a return, but it resulted in a touchback. Pittman also caught one pass for 16 yards.
