In the midst of a difficult season and a recent losing stretch that has covered more than half the season, South Alabama is set to part ways with head coach Steve Campbell. The Jguarss are currently 4-7 following a 29-0 loss to Troy this past weekend.
South Alabama is struggling, having lost their last six games.

Campbell is in his third year with the program and holds a 9-26 record. Despite their underwhelming record this year, the four wins is the most that the program has had under Campbell, showing perhaps a bit of an upwards trajectory.
But the results recently haven’t been good. In fact, four of their last five losses have been by double digits.
South Alabama hasn’t made a bowl game since the 2016 season under then head coach Joey Jones.
