Report: Texas WR, 2021 recruit arrested on assault charges

A Texas wide receiver and member of the 2021 recruiting class has been arrested on assault charges, according to a report from 247Sports. The incident occurred over the weekend.

Keithron Lee, a 3-star receiver and member of the Longhorns’ 2021 class, was arrested in Bryan, Texas for assault of a family member. His bond was set at $5,000 and he was being held in the Brazos County Jail.

No other information was provided in the report.

Lee was ranked as one of the Top 100 wide receivers and Top 100 prospects out of Texas as part of the 2021 recruiting class. Overall, he was listed just outside the Top 500, coming in as the No. 515 national talent.

Lee held nearly 30 offers on the recruiting front before committing to Texas.
