Report: Tom Brady expected to make decision on future soon

The greatest quarterback in NFL history might soon be retiring from the sport he loves.
According to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is likely to announce his retirement from the NFL. The report cites “multiple sources” within the legendary QB’s “inner circle.”
Per the report, an announcement could come as early as this week. The news comes as Tampa Bay was eliminated from the NFL playoffs last weekend following a 30-27 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Round.
Brady is a 7-time Super Bowl champion, winning 6 rings during a 20-year run with the New England Patriots. He also led the Buccaneers to a world title in his first season in 2020.
Brady has also been recognized as a 5-time Super Bowl MVP, a 3-time NFL MVP, a 2-time NFL Offensive Player of the Year and a 15-time Pro Bowl selection. If he does step down, he’ll be the most decorated quarterback to ever play the game.
During his brilliant career in the NFL, Brady has thrown for 84,520 yards, 624 touchdowns and a 97.6 career passer rating. He owns NFL records for most career quarterback wins, career passing attempts, career completions, career passing yards, career passing touchdowns and most completions in a season.
