Good news is on the way if you’re a collector of trading cards. Their will soon be officially licensed cards in college athletics.

Chris Hummer of 247Sports reported that officially licensed trading cards will soon be coming to college sports. The news comes weeks after the NCAA revised its name, image and likeness policies, allowing student-athletes to profit off their brand.

Before July 1, trading cards could only feature former college athletes because of NIL policies. But changes are coming following a partnership between Panini America and OneTeam.

“There is nothing that says name, image and likeness like trading cards,” Panini VP of Marketing Jason Howarth told 247Sports. “It makes the most sense across the board for (trading cards) to be the spot for NIL to be a testing group, instead of one-off (deals).”

It’s another example of how college athletics is continuing to change in just a short period of time since the NIL policies have changed. It’s another opportunity for student-athletes to earn some money of their name, image and likeness.

You can read more on the new changes from 247Sports.
