Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer could soon be returning to FOX’s pregame studio show Big Noon Kickoff.

The Athletic reported that Meyer is in negotiations with FOX to return to the broadcast team in some capacity. Before taking the head coaching job with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Meyer was a studio analyst for FOX’s college football pregame show, which rivals ESPN’s College GameDay.

A deal has not been completed at the time of the report.

In April, Meyer indicated during an episode of the Tim May Podcast that negotiations were ongoing regarding his return to the broadcast studio. He’s certainly interested in a return.

“That’s all still in conversation,” Meyer said. “I love FOX, I love their team, I love their guys. There’s nothing that’s been finalized yet, but yeah I plan on going back and doing it.”

Meyer was the head coach at Ohio State for 7 seasons. He had previous stops at Bowling Green, Utah and Florida.
