An important Wisconsin football staffer is reportedly heading to Michigan State.

Madison.com is reporting that Saeed Khalif, the director of player personnel at Wisconsin, is leaving the program for a similar job at Michigan State. He will be replacing Scott Aligo, who recently left the Spartans for a job at Kansas.

Khalif has been part of the Badgers’ staff for the past five seasons. He is no longer listed as a staff member on Wisconsin’s website, but there has been no official word from either school.

The news comes as the NCAA lifted the recruiting dead period on June 1, which will open the floodgates to official and unofficial visits and live evaluations over the summer months. This should be a huge help for Michigan State and a significant loss for Wisconsin.
