Reserve Michigan DL announces he will enter transfer portal

George Rooks is among the latest players to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. Rooks spent the first 2 years of his collegiate career with the University of Michigan as a reserve defensive lineman.

Rooks played 6 games this season as he accounted for 1 solo tackle and 1 fumble recovery. His fumble recovery came in the win over UConn and his tackle came in the win over Nebraska.

Rooks was a former 4-star high school prospect from Jersey City, New Jersey from the 2021 recruiting class. He was ranked as the 35th-rated defensive lineman and the 6th-rated prospect from the state of New Jersey.

During his recruiting process, Rooks received offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Miami (FL), Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, and Tennessee among others.

Rooks is the third player for Michigan to enter in the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to Maize N Brew.
