Riley Moss knows how hard it has been for his roommate Spencer Petras this season. He is supporting Petras throughout all of this per Chad Leistikow of the Des Moines Register.
Even though Moss has been with Iowa for awhile, he isn’t sure if he could handle the pressure that Petras has been under. The senior corner has been impressed with how Petras has kept his cool.
“If I was put underneath the pressure that he was, I don’t know how I’d do,” said Moss. “That kid is one of the most resilient kids I know and it doesn’t faze him. I’m relaly impressed by that, his character and love for the game.”
Petras has 201 yards passing, and 2 interceptions through Iowa’s first two games of the season. Moss stated that Petras knows that pressure comes with being a quarterback at a school like Iowa.
“(Pressure) is a part of the job and I think Spencer through his years has learned that,” said Moss. “I do think it’s unfair personally because that’s my friend and roommate. At the same time, it’s a free world and you’re allowed to say what you want.”
