RJ Day is the son of Ohio State head coach Ryan Day and a quarterback for the 2027 recruiting class. Over the weekend, he announced the first Division I scholarship offer he received.
The younger Day announced Sunday evening that he received a scholarship offer from Boston College. The offer came “after a great conversation with (head coach) Jeff Hafley” per Day.
Buckeye fans will also remember Hafley as a former defensive assistant under Ryan Day. Hafley spent the 2019 season as the co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach for Ohio State before landing the BC job in 2020.

RJ Day is currently a freshman for St. Francis DeSales High School in Columbus. At this point, it’s too early to know what type of star rating Day will receive, but his name is certainly one to keep an eye for the 2027 recruiting class. With a prominent QB developer as his father, Day should have a solid shot at a career in college football.
