Robert Griffin III weighed in on the multitude of possibilities for the final field of the College Football Playoff rankings by season’s end.
The former Baylor and NFL QB says the Georgia, TCU, the winner of The Game and USC are the 4 most likely candidates, but he went into specifics Sunday morning following a wild Cupcake Week.
See his reasoning below:
The CFP picture is set.
-Georgia wins 1 of next 2 it’s IN.
-Michigan/Ohio State winner is IN.
-TCU wins 1 of next 2 it’s IN.
-USC wins out it’s IN.
-Clemson and Alabama have a chance but still need A LOT of help
-LSU winning the SEC over Georgia would blow it all up.— Robert Griffin III (@RGIII) November 20, 2022
Clemson is the only remaining 1-loss team that may be in trouble. USC lost to a strong Utah team while the loser of The Game will have lost to a top 5 team. Clemson, however, lost to Notre Dame, which has improve as of late but already has 3 losses on the season, perhaps 4 when they play USC next week.
LSU seems like the best chance to get a 2-loss team into the field. If the Tigers win the SEC, leaving them out will be a tough decision to make.
