Now, he will be honored with a statue outside the Rose Bowl. According to NBC Los Angeles, the statue will depict Jackson standing and holding a microphone with the Rose Bowl Logo on it. It will be stationed in the Rose Plaza near the south entrance.
Jackson passed away Jan. 12, 2018, and funding for his statue began soon after. The statue could be in place as early as December and in time for this year’s Rose Bowl.
