The player is Dante Barone, a 3-star defensive lineman out of Princeton, New Jersey. He committed to Rutgers over offers from Illinois, Boston College, Syracuse and others.
“I’d like to thank both the Hun School and Manalapan High School for giving me the opportunity to play this sport,” Barone wrote via Twitter. “An extra special thank you to Coach Smith for changing my life at Hun. Finally, thank you to all coaches who made my recruitment a very special process.
“With that being said, I’d like to announce that I will be committing to play at Rutgers University!”
