It’s hard to even comprehend the amount of transferring that happened in all of college athletics during this offseason. College football is no exception and hasn’t been for a while.
One of the big transfer moves for Rutgers was bringing in former Nebraska quarterback Noah Vedral prior to the 2020 season Scarlet Knights coach Greg Schiano speaks highly of Vedral. That included during his time at the podium at Big Ten Media Days on Friday.
Based on what Schiano said on Friday in Indianapolis, it appears that the Scarlet Knights coaching staff had their eyes on Vedral from the moment he entered the transfer portal.
Rutgers coach Greg Schiano says, once Noah Vedral entered the portal, RU's recruiting director sent Schiano 180 snaps of Vedral's play.
Schiano: "This is the guy. We gotta get him."

As mentioned in the last tweet, Schiano has seen Vedral and appears to still be infatuated with the quarterback.

The Wahoo, Nebraska, native started out at Central Florida and then made the move with Scott Frost to Lincoln. He played only one full season in 2019, appearing in six games. He threw for 418 yards and 3 touchdowns.
In 2020, Vedral made his way to Rutgers and started seven games for Scarlet Knights. He finished the season throwing for 1,253 yards and 9 touchdowns. He will look to improve upon those numbers as Rutgers appears to be on the upswing with Schiano leading the resurrection.
