During Rutgers’ game against Hofstra, Cliff Omoruyi had a great steal in the backcourt and then followed it up with a gorgeous alley-oop dunk.

Here’s the clip of the play, courtesy of the Big Ten Network:

That dunk extended the Scarlet Knights lead to 37-23 in the second half of that game.

Rutgers has a commanding double-digit lead over Hofstra as the No. 24 team in the country as they’ve beaten Sacred Heart and Fairleigh Dickinson in their first two games. Omoruyi currently has six points and three rebounds in the game.

Omoruyi joined the Scarlet Knights as a key prospect for the 2020 class. Rated as the No. 48 player nationally by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Omoruyi was a four-star prospect and one of the top players in the state of New Jersey.

If Rutgers is able to hang on, they’d get to 3-0 with a date against Syracuse looming on Dec. 8.

After seeing March Madness canceled last year, Rutgers is a team to watch in the B1G race. The Scarlet Knights would love for a chance to show what they can do in the postseason.
