Rutgers has a hard commitment from a high-volume point guard in Jamichael Davis, according to his Instagram post on Monday night.

Davis, a Georgia native, made his decision one day after visiting the campus and watching the Scarlet Knights take on Seton Hall, according to Brian Fonseca of NJ.com.

He was offered by Rutgers in June and has received other offers to play college basketball including Auburn, VCU, Wichita State, and UAB.

Rutgers has one other player that has committed to the men’s basketball program as Davis joins 4-star forward Gavin Griffiths, from West Hartford, Connecticut.

The Scarlet Knights are ranked 61st in the nation in the 2023 recruiting class as they are the 11th rated team in the B1G. They are currently ahead of Purdue, Nebraska, and Northwestern with many months to go towards signing day.
