To say things aren’t going well at Rutgers would be a massive understatement. After suffering another blowout loss on Saturday, this time to Indiana, there’s a curiosity about whether or not the Scarlet Knights will even be competitve in the remaining games on the schedule.

Interim head coach Nunzio Campanile is focused on taking advantage of the opportunities left on the schedule. There are no plans to lower their heads and pout about the 1-5 start.

“We’re not gonna turn this place into a morgue. We have an opportunity to go out and play football,” Campanile said during his weekly press conference. “We’re not going to hang our heads every day, we’re going to go out and try to find a way to get better.”

Rutgers fell 35-0 to Indiana last week, the third time it’s been shutout this season. The Scarlet Knights have been outscored 165-7 in their four B1G games this season.

Below are Campanile’s thoughts about moving forward into the second half of the season.
