Friday ended with a bang for Rutgers.
Three-star QB Sofian Massoud (Bronx, NY) committed to Rutgers over an offer from Boston College. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound signal caller is ranked as the nation’s No. 21 overall athlete and the state of New York’s No. 3 overall prospect, per 247Sports Composite Rankings.
“I got a chance to meet many of the coaches on the staff, but primarily spoke with (offensive coordinator/quarterbacks) coach (John) McNulty and coach (Chris) Ash,” Massoud told 247Sports. “Coach Ash just told me that he would really love to have me be a part of the program and that I can fit in well to their program.”
Massoud became Rutgers’ first commitment for the class of 2020.
