A Georgia transfer and former three-star recruit is leaving the SEC for a home in the B1G.

On Saturday evening, Rutgers received a commitment from cornerback Juwuan Briscoe, who had been with the Bulldogs the past two seasons. He made his announcement via Twitter:

Briscoe appeared in 9 games for Georgia last season, making four starts. His playing time became more limited at the end of the year, but still finished the 2016 campaign with 16 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.

The Maryland native made the decision to transfer in December but took some time before settling down with his final decision.

Briscoe must sit out the 2017 season and won’t be eligible to play until 2018, due to NCAA transfer rules.
