Rutgers is looking for a new OL coach under head coach Greg Schiano, but it appears that search could be coming to an end.

A big name from the NFL ranks could soon be making his way to join the Scarlet Knights’ staff, per ESPN insider Pete Thamel.

Per Thamel, the Scarlet Knights are targeting veteran NFL OL coach Pat Flaherty for the open position:

Flaherty, age 66, spent the 2021 season as an advisor for the New York Giants. From 2019-20, he worked as an analyst at Penn State.

Prior to that, Flaherty served as the OL coach with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants during his long NFL career, winning 2 Super Bowls with the Giants.
