Twenty years ago this weekend, Rutgers lost 37 alumni in the Sept. 11 attacks.
When the Scarlet Knights take the field against Syracuse on Saturday, they’ll honor the alumni that were killed that day.
Rutgers don special all-white uniforms at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse that read “NEVER FORGET” along the sides. Players will wear gloves that say “NEVER FORGET” and the helmets will have names of those 37 alumni written on them.

Rutgers is the second B1G program to announce 9/11 tributes after Michigan State announced its players would wear a commemorative patch on their helmets for its Sept. 11 game against Youngstown State.
Kickoff between Rutgers and Syracuse is set for 2 p.m. ET on the ACC Network.
