Ohio State is already focused on the 2025 season after taking home the 2024 national title, but head coach Ryan Day is still racking up accolades for his work in leading the Buckeyes to the title.

This time, it’s a bit of a unique honor with Day being named the Super 11 Coach of the Year by the Football Writers Association of America. That honor carries the special distinction of recognizing Day’s “consistently positive demeanor with the media.”

“All you have to do is watch the press conferences when it comes to Ryan Day,” 2025 FWAA President Bill Bender of The Sporting News said. “He takes questions from all outlets on arguably the largest beat in college football – and they often stretch well past what would be an acceptable amount of time to get those questions in. Day also answered any remaining critics with an unprecedented national championship run, and he did that with an unrivaled level of class and respect toward reporters, players and the game of college football. He is an easy choice for this award.”

Considering the way the regular season ended for Ohio State, that’s an important honor for Day. Even under the fire of criticism, Day answered the media each and every time before embarking on a College Football Playoff run for the ages.

Now, Day is focused on getting the Buckeyes back to the top of the mountain with Ohio State listed as the early title favorite at +500 via DraftKings. Grab the DraftKings promo code Ohio to get the top offers and get into the action.
