Ryan Day discussed during his weekly press conference that freshman running back TC Caffey is out for the year per Griffin Strom with Eleven Warriors. Caffey joins sophomore Evan Pryor, who suffered a knee injury in training camp, as running backs for Ohio State who are out for the year.

Caffey rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries this season. His touchdown came in Ohio State’s Week 3 77-21 dominating win over Toledo.

Trayanum arrived to Arizona State as a running back in the 2020 recruiting class. He rushed for 692 yards and 10 touchdowns on 127 carries in his 2 years at Arizona State.
Trayanum transferred to Ohio State this off-season to play linebacker. As a defender, he has played in all 7 games for Ohio State this season. In the 54-10 home win over Iowa in Week 8, Trayanum had one carry for 9 yards.
We’ll see if Trayanum gets any more carries down the road, but expect Miyan Williams and TreVeyon Henderson to continue to lead the way in the backfield.
