Ryan Day spoke during his 97.1 radio show ahead of Ohio State’s Week 11 matchup against Michigan State.
The Buckeyes are undefeated on the season heading into the final stretch. The Buckeyes defense has been strong, but the play from OSU QB Kyle McCord has only gotten better as the season wears on.
McCord has thrown for 17 touchdowns with 4 interceptions this season, averaging 261 yards per game with 2,352 passing yards overall. Behind Michigan’s JJ McCarthy he’s likely been the top QB in the conference this season.
On Thursday, Day discussed the growth of McCord since being in a starting battle with Devin Brown in the preseason to now, where he’s lead OSU to a No. 1 CFP ranking.
