Ryan Day made it clear that the quarterbacks he brings into Ohio State are the type of players that he plans on starting. Lincoln Kienholz is the most recent addition to the Buckeyes and is the No. 14 quarterback in this year’s class per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

“If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere,” Day said about the confidence he has in the players and recruits he is signing.

Kienholz was originally committed to the Washington Huskies before his commitment to the Buckeyes. A major turning point in his recruitment was during his official visit to Columbus during The Game against Michigan.

Kienholz stands at 6-foot-3 and has a lot of athletic potential that the Buckeye quarterbacks coach Corey Dennis started paying attention to early this fall. His ability to throw the ball while on the move really stood out among other potential recruits.

During his four years at T.F. Riggs, Kienholz threw for 9,100 yards and 104 touchdowns with another 3,503 yards as a runner. Kienholz is a 4-star and ranks 204th in the national composite rankings per 247 Sports.
