In the aftermath of third-string quarterback Jack Miller III’s reported plead to reduced charges following an OWI arrest, Ohio State coach Ryan Day has issued a statement on the matter.

Day said that the program is going to evaluate the case meticulously but stated that there’s a strong likelihood that Miller will return to the team. The head coach discussed Miller’s status during his Thursday radio show.

The redshirt freshman, who is behind starter C.J. Stroud and backup Kyle McCord on the depth chart, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of reckless operation, according to Cleveland.com. He has been suspended since the game vs. Nebraska.

Miller has totaled 101 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions this season. True freshman Quinn Ewers has served as the No. 3 quarterback during Miller’s suspension.

No. 5 Ohio State will host No. 7 Michigan State for first place in the East. Ohio State leads the all-time series 34-15 and is on a five-game winning streak vs. Michigan State in the series.
