Ryan Day met with reporters ahead of Ohio State’s Week 6 matchup against Maryland Tuesday afternoon.
Among the questions he fielded, Day was asked to evaluate the play from starting QB Kyle McCord and give a look into his growth from being named the starter to where he is now.
McCord wasn’t perfect against Notre Dame, but he didn’t have to be in the end. The Buckeyes are undefeated with McCord at the helm of the offense this season and face a few strong challenges in the coming weeks.
Day’s message to McCord? “On to Maryland.” The Ohio State HC insisted that McCord has to continue to grow and to get better, like everybody else in the program. He also mentioned that McCord may have a few plays he’d like back from Notre Dame, but that focus has to be on the Terps moving forward.
