Ryan Day foresees drama-free RB tandem of TreVeyon Henderson, Quinshon Judkins

Ryan Day knows juggling the talents of two elite running backs can sometimes present a problem. However, he does not see any potential issue in a backfield consisting of TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins.
Henderson is the more veteran of the two, returning for his senior season in Columbus. One of the most productive backs when on the field, Henderson has battled injuries across the past 2 seasons.
Meanwhile, Judkins starred for Ole Miss during his first 2 college seasons before transferring to Ohio State. Day declined to name a starter earlier in the week, but he reiterated the need for both players during Thursday’s radio show.
The head coach described both backs as bringing “different things to the table” and admitted the two “know they need each other.” Day also said Ohio State will have enough carries to go to each player this season. In fact, Day previously said at his press conference the Buckeyes will go 3 deep at RB in the heat of the season opener.
Ryan Day on TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins: “Both bring different things to the table, but both are very, very talented,” he said. “They know they need each other.”
Day said there will be “plenty of carries to go around” this season for Henderson and Judkins.

The ability to run the ball, with Henderson and Judkins in the backfield and Will Howard’s dual threat at quarterback, is also something Day described as “a game changer.” If that trio stays healthy, Chip Kelly will be able to put pressure on opposing defenses in a variety of ways.
Ryan Day called TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins’ talent, combined with Will Howard’s ability to run the football, “a game changer” for the Ohio State offense.
