Corey Dennis is Urban Meyer’s son-in-law. But, that’s not important.
What’s important is that he knows football. He knows offense. He knows quarterbacks.
And on Friday, it was confirmed by Ohio State coach Ryan Day that Dennis will be the team’s quarterbacks coach going forward.

With the news being made official, former Buckeyes — including Day — have commented about the newest QBs coach in Columbus:
Former Ohio State quarterback Chris Chugunov on Corey Dennis: “I think it would be great for any quarterback coming in to play for Corey. He’s fun, he’s easy to talk to but at the same time, he knows a lot about the game. He knows what you have to do there to be successful.”

Ryan Day on new quarterbacks coach Corey Dennis: “He knows our system and he knows how we teach. I think he is going to allow us to develop some continuity in the quarterback room, and that’s important. I also believe that he is going to be an excellent recruiter for us.”

Dennis will be in his sixth season at Ohio State when the 2020 season rolls around. He is replacing Mike Yurcich, who took the offensive coordinator job at Texas.
