Ryan Day and Greg Schiano’s squads are going out it hard on Saturday despite a lopsided call. The emotions spilled over in the fourth quarter, including both head coaches getting into a battle of words.
Following a long run on a fake punt, Rutgers return man Aron Cruickshank delivered a late hit out of bounds. That late hit was deemed to be flagrant by the officials with Cruickshank ejected.
In the aftermath of the hit, multiple Buckeye and Scarlet Knight players mixed it up. Schiano even left his own sideline and wound up near the Buckeyes side of the field.
Day and Schiano were seen screaming at each other before the officials eventually separated the two sides. Both head coaches were penalized as a result.
