Ryan Day knows just how important it will for Ohio State to have a healthy CB room this season. He listed the position as the unit as top 3 level of concern earlier.
The Buckeyes have some corners sidelined with injuries at the moment, but Day is confident that everyone will be healthy before the season opener on Sept. 3 per Bill Rabinowitz of the Columbus Dispatch.
Asked about cornerbacks’ health, Day said he’s confident that unit will be at full strength for the Notre Dame opener. Several CBs have been sidelined lately.

Ohio State will be hoping that Jim Knowles can solve all of the defensive problems from last year. The Buckeyes allowed 246.9 passing yards per game last season, which ranked 12th in the B1G.
Depth could have also been part of the problem last season. DC Jim Knowles is feeling really good about how much talent the Buckeyes have at CB this year. It looks like the CB room in Columbus is almost completely healed as well, according to Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors.
Ohio State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles meeting with the media.
Knowles said the Buckeyes “almost had our full complement” available at cornerback today, so he’s feeling better about the depth at that position.
