Ohio State’s 42-0 demolition of Cincinnati was impressive.

The Buckeyes cruised both offensively and defensively against the Bearcats. Quarterback Justin Fields went 20-of-25 for 224 yards and 2 TD, while Cincinnati got shutout. The entire defense deserves props.
After the game, Buckeye coach Ryan Day talked about one specific throw from Fields:
Ryan Day said the Justin Fields throw to Garrett Wilson was “NFL material.”

And another run impressed him:
Ryan Day’s favorite play from Justin Fields today? A touchdown run when no receivers were open on a designed pass.
“His feet are the X-factor.”

Day also talked about a near-interception from defensive end Chase Young, who some believe will be a top 5 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft:
Ryan Day jokingly said he “almost blew out his Achilles” jumping up and down when Chase Young nearly made his interception.

Young almost got his interception off a deflected ball that seemed to go directly into his hands. He was likely looking toward the end-zone before securing the catch, as he had open field in front of him.
Also, the Buckeyes apparently didn’t care about the Michigan-Army battle this afternoon:
Ohio State head coach Ryan Day said he was not watching the Michigan-Army game.

Maybe we believe you, coach Day. Maybe.
