Joe Burrow is now the leader in the race for the Heisman Trophy. We can admit that. He’s doing things at LSU that nobody has before. Did you see the Alabama game?
You had to see some of it, at the least. Burrow was great.
And he led his Tigers into Tuscaloosa and came away with a win. Burrow has had incredible success since transferring from Ohio State. It’s showing now.

Ryan Day, the current head coach at Ohio State, was mostly an assistant with Joe Burrow on the roster. He remembers Burrow. He knows him.
And at the moment, while Burrow is having the season of his life way over at LSU, Day is happy for him:
Ryan Day on former Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow, who is now leading the Heisman Trophy race at LSU: "Proud is definitely the word." Day is happy to see Burrow succeeding there, and also happy to have Justin Fields at Ohio State.

Burrow’s a good person. Day’s rooting for him. Now, if LSU meets Ohio State in the College Football Playoff, all bets are likely off. Day would probably wish Burrow terrible luck.
But unless he’s going against the former Buckeye, Day is certainly going to cheer for him.
