Ryan Day points to red zone woes for Ohio State’s offensive issues vs. Penn State

For Ohio State head coach Ryan Day, this weekend’s game at Nebraska could be a risky one if they don’t work on some trouble spots.
The Buckeyes are coming off a 33-24 victory over No. 20 Penn State. But Day’s team struggled in several areas against the Nittany Lions, one of which was taking advantage of red-zone opportunities. OSU was only able to find the end zone once in their six trips into sub-20 territory.

The 7-1 Buckeyes will need to be sure not to take the Huskers too lightly. Mistakes were also an issue against PSU, and committed seven false-start penalties, and their run game was barely able to get going in the first half.
While Ohio State was able to come away with a 9-point win against the Nittany Lions, the Huskers have kept teams close all year. Nebraska brings a 3-6 record to the table against the Buckeyes, but haven’t lost a game by more than eight points. Those close games included Oklahoma, Michigan and Michigan State.
Day: "If you'd asked early in the season if you'd take a 9-point win over Penn State, I'd say absolutely. Where do we sign up?" But added that Buckeyes made a lot of mistakes.

The Buckeyes and Huskers will kickoff at 12:00 PM on Saturday, Nov. 6 at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.
