Ryan Day read the letter that OL Paris Johnson Jr. had in The Players’ Tribune. Day couldn’t have been prouder of Johnson at Friday’s media availability.
Johnson wrote a letter that ended up the in The Players’ Tribune on Thursday talking about his Ohio State career and what led him to Columbus.
Day described Johnson as a tremendous young man.
“Paris Johnson is a tremendous young man. I did read his letter. I think that’s why we get into coaching,” Day said. “To see his growth, what he’s done on and off the field and to see his impact is tremendous.”

Johnson has played in 12 games for the Buckeyes this season, being a veteran presence on the offensive line. Players like Johnson will need to step up in order for Ohio State to beat Georgia in the College Football Playoff.
