Ohio State-Clemson. We’ve seen it before this time of year. Three years ago, the Tigers faced the Buckeyes in the semifinal of the College Football Playoff.

Clemson shut out Ohio State 31-0 that day. Ryan Day, the current coach of the Buckeyes wasn’t a part of the staff back then. Now, of course, he is. It’s different nowadays.

And on Monday, during Day’s press conference, he talked about that game three years ago:

Three years ago was three years ago. That Clemson team is different than the one in 2019. Same goes for the Buckeyes. Day knows that. And, again, he wasn’t in Columbus back then.

Here’s Day on the 2019 Clemson team:

This year’s version of Clemson-Ohio State will be different for many reasons. Day being in charge is just one.

The two teams will battle on Saturday, Dec. 28 in Arizona.
