The Ryan Day era at Ohio State has officially come to an end. But what an incredible finish for the interim head coach.
The fourth-ranked Buckeyes posted a 40-28 win over No. 15 TCU in Arlington, Texas, the first big test of the season. While this game was in doubt until late in the fourth quarter, Ohio State’s offense and defense had solid outings, with big plays coming on both sides.
Now that the first three games of the year have concluded, head coach Urban Meyer will return to the sideline. But Day leaves his mark on the program, leading the Buckeyes to a 3-0 record with three wins over Power Five schools, a conference victory and a top 25 win.
Here’s what Day had to say following Ohio State’s win over TCU:
Ohio State acting head coach Ryan Day: "We knew there were going to be times that we hit adversity, and we have to stick together in times like that. I think we did."
