Schiano returned to Rutgers in 2020 after recent stints at Ohio State and in the NFL. He inherited a terrible Scarlet Knights program and has made it semi-respectable heading into a Week 5 game against Ohio State.
Saying the Rutgers defense is good is a rough agenda to pass on, but saying they’re the best since 2020 is absolutely respectable. The Scarlet Knights have had a bottom tier defense in the B1G for a long time.
Ohio State also has one of the most complete offenses in the country. The Buckeyes offense is cooking with CJ Stroud at the center, and it’ll certainly put Rutgers’ defense to the test.
