Ohio State heads to the Sugar Bowl coming off an impressive second half against Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship Game. They also should have a deeper roster.
Missing nearly two dozen players yesterday due to COVID-19 protocols, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day thinks that his team should be healthier and deeper in the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day against No. 2 Clemson.

Noticeably missing from Saturday’s roster were wide receiver Chris Olave, linebackers Baron Browning and Drue Chrisman among others. Despite such key losses, Ohio State overcame a halftime deficit to finish out a 22-10 win over Northwestern.
The Buckeyes did enough – just enough – to be one of four teams to make the College Football Playoff.
They will need to be healthy and deep against a Clemson side that steamrolled Notre Dame 34-10 on Saturday night in the ACC Championship Game.
