Ryan Day made sure that his team knows to keep their emotions in check for The Game.
Much like in the past, Saturday’s game with Michigan will determine which of the 2 will go to the B1G title game and contend for a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Day said on Big Noon Kickoff that Ohio State had a great week of prep and now it just has to put it all on the field.
“You can’t let emotion get the best of you, and that’s why we train all year for this moment. We had a great week of preparation, the guys woke up with great energy. Now we’ve got to go put it all on the field. We know it’s going to take all four quarters,” said Day. “Certainly want to start fast, that’s a big part of The Game, but we know it’s going to go four quarters. It’s going to be a physical game. We’ve got to run the ball and stop the run.”

Day’s final message to the team was that it’s easy to talk before the game, but now it’s time to play football.
“That they have to have that look in their eye, that they’re focused. It’s easy to get emotional, it’s easy to talk before the game and all that stuff,” said Day. “The bottom line is what happens when the foot hits the ball. Now it’s time to go play football.”
Day and Ohio State play in another classic edition of The Game in Ann Arbor.
