Ohio State rolled to another win, but defensive back Damon Arnette was absent for much of the game.
The Buckeyes welcomed Michigan State to Columbus for a B1G East showdown Saturday and won 34-10 behind a strong second quarter. It was far from a perfect performance with some inconsistencies throughout, but it is nevertheless another good win to start the season.
Unfortunately, Arnette was removed from the action in the first half and did not return to the game. Head coach Ryan Day addressed the absence after the win.

Though Day did not go into any details, he did confirm that the medical staff removed Arnette from the contest. He did not specify any injury details but said he did not expect it to be a long-term issue. Day also said Arnette would be re-evaluated Saturday evening.
Nathan Baird with Cleveland.com shared Day’s comments:
OSU coach Ryan Day said the athletic training staff took cornerback Damon Arnette out of the game. Did not seem to think would be long-term but said he will be evaluated tonight.

Hopefully, it is nothing serious and Arnette is back on the field quickly. He is an experienced defender with five career interceptions for the Buckeyes.
