Ryan Day’s wife apparently wasn’t very impressed with Ohio State’s 1st quarter vs. Northwestern

Ohio State defeated Northwestern, 52-3, last Friday. Behind a 24-point second quarter, the Buckeyes built a 28-point halftime lead.
But the first quarter was a little slow for Ohio State, which the wife of Ohio State head coach Ryan Day pointed out to him. Day shared what his wife, Christina, said to him about the first quarter in his press conference Tuesday.
Ryan Day says his wife said, "Tough first quarter," after Ohio State's win against Northwestern. He said he looked at the stats and saw the Buckeyes had scored a touchdown four minutes into the game.
Day: "The standard's pretty high around here."

Indeed, that’s a very high standard, as Ohio State actually led at the end of the first quarter, 7-3. Maybe the Buckeyes could have played better in the first 15 minutes, but the 45 points after that more than made up for it.
He likely already knew, but with the criticism from his own wife, Day probably realizes now more than ever the high expectations in Columbus.
