Northwestern quarterback Ryan Hilinski had a fantastic performance in the 31-28 win over Nebraska in Ireland on Saturday. Hilinski is the first quarterback since Clayton Thorson in 2018 to throw for 300 yards in a game.

Hilinski completed 27-of-39 of his passes for 313 yards and two touchdowns. Thorson completed 41-of-61 of his passes for 455 yards, 3 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, and a QBR of 67 on October 13, 2018, in the 34-31 overtime win over Nebraska.

The offense of Northwestern accounted for 527 total yards, with 313 yards coming from the passing game for an average of 8.2 yards per pass. Hilinski was solid in most of his throws as he got the ball to the best position possible.

Hilinski looks to continue strong this 2022 college football season as a redshirt sophomore. Northwestern will have a bye-week next week as they prepare for Duke on September 10.
