Sam LaPorta hauls in 2nd TD of Week 5 off beautiful play design

Sam LaPorta is turning into quite the weapon for the Detroit Lions.

The former Iowa tight end is already up to a pair of touchdowns in Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers. His first of the day put the Lions up 2 scores, but his 2nd of the day may have just slammed the door shut.

On the first play off an interception, the Lions dialed up a beautifully-designed double flea flicker that had LaPorta running wide open down the sideline. Jared Goff made the easiest throw of his career and LaPorta essentially strolled into the end zone.

LaPorta is up to 3 touchdowns for his rookie season with the Lions, who no doubt drafted him expecting the next great TE prospect out of Iowa. They may have received just that.
