According to WTAJ, the son of former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, Jeffrey Sandusky, was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police on Monday for sexually assaulting a child.

Police told WTAJ that the 41-year-old adopted son of Sandusky was arraigned on charges in Bellefonte, Penn.

The investigation reportedly began in Nov. 2016 when a child claimed of receiving inappropriate text messages from Sandusky, who had been dating the child’s mother. According to the child, Sandusky requested naked photographs.

Sandusky lived in the same residence as the child’s mother for five years, according to WTAJ. The child’s father reported the claims to police.

The criminal complaint indicated that there was another child who was abused by Sandusky back in 2013. Bail was set for $200,000.

Jeffrey Sandusky maintained his father’s innocence throughout his investigation and eventual conviction. The elder Sandusky was convicted of 45 counts of child molestation and sentenced to 30-60 years in prison.
