Saquon Barkley is finally getting his shot on the biggest stage. On Sunday, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft will play his first career NFL Playoff game with the New York Giants.

A bigger story to go along with Barkley’s first career playoff appearance is that the star running back is back to his healthy and electrifying self during his fifth NFL season. Barkley produced back-to-back seasons of 1,400+ yards from scrimmage to begin his career before battling injuries from 2020-21.

During the 2022 season, Barkley responded with a career-high 1,312 rushing yards to go with 10 rushing touchdowns. He finished the regular season with 1,650 yards from scrimmage, the second most of his career and his best season since his rookie campaign.

With Barkley finally healthy again, New York went 9-7-1 and is making its first playoff appearance since the 2016 season. Fans and media personnel alike have addressed Barkley’s first-ever playoff game with buzz heating up for what the star RB could produce on Sunday.
